If your Spotlight Cam is not reporting an updated battery percentage in the Ring app after inserting a fully charged battery, please check the following:- Ensure both of your batteries are fully charged (if you have two). It takes about 8 hours for the battery to fully charge using the provided charging cable.- Make sure there is no debris in the battery hatch and that the hatch is firmly closed. You should also see a solid red LED on the hatch to indicate that the battery is connected. - Navigate off of the Device Health page, activate a Live View on your Spotlight Cam, then navigate back to the Device Health page. The Live View should have forced the Device Health screen to update. - On the Device Health page, scroll to the bottom and tap "Reboot This Device". The reboot will take a few minutes. After that, reload the Device Health screen to see if the battery percentage is reporting correctly. If the steps listed above did not work, please follow up with our support team at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). I think this is the issue. The batteries have those 'prongs' that you use to press to remove them. When you close the door you HAVE to press on those slightly so the door will close. I think the batteries are coming out of the housing slightly, losing connection, when you do that. It's almost impossible to close the door without one of the batteries coming out of contact. This seems like a major design flaw. Because the batteries are changed at the BOTTOM, gravity is not your friend. If they would've somehow defined these so that the batteries were installed on the top or side of the unit, I feel like this would not be an issue.
