Ring Siren Hardwired

Hi, I brought the Ring Siren, it’s has the standard 3 x D battery’s in the unit, I have also hardwired it. Does this mean that I will never have to change out the battery’s or do they still serve a purpose?

Hi @acherron. If you have your Ring Alarm Outdoor Siren hardwired, you don’t need to use the D batteries also installed. Hardwiring it will serve as your main power source. More information about the power options for the Ring Alarm Outdoor Siren can be found here. I hope this helps.
