Ring security camera work from inside window pointed out?

I was curious if a Ring security camera will work through glass windows? I would like a Ring security camera on the 2nd story of my house and it would be much simpler and flexible if I could simply place it in an interior upstairs window overlooking my front yard. I wonder if glare from the glass might be a problem? Thanks for any thoughts.

Hi @ItsZep. It’s not recommended to install a Ring Security Camera directly in front of a window or other reflective surface. The glare and reflection from the glass can impact the Camera’s ability to accurately detect motion.
