Ring Screwdriver

I've just received my Ring Doorbell 3, and looking through the box it has a screwdriver with a security bit. In all the videos and pictures I've seen, the screwdriver is a double ended affair, with security and Philips ends. I tried pulling the bit out, but it won't budge. Have they changed the screwdriver supplied? Mine is also blue, instead of orange.

Hi there, @NeilCro! The screwdriver included with new Ring devices will indeed be blue. While the fitting is not changeable or removable, the included screw driver should come fitted with a head that fits the necessary security screw or mounting screws for your Ring device model. A standard screw driver can be used for the standard screws, if needed. I hope this helps! :)

I’ve lost my screwdriver for my Ring video Doorbell gen 2 (2020). I found it for $1.99 on my Ring app, but it comes to $6 after shipping and taxes. I think this is ridiculous. How can I purchase this w/o shipping fees?

Hi @d91648f277dad981a729cc828a6872. Unfortunately, there is not a way to have no shipping fees. Occasionally, there is a promotion for "Free Shipping" on qualifying purchases, but I don't believe there is any active promotions for this right now. Alternatively, most hardware stores carry a screwdriver tip set that commonly has a tip that will work with the Ring Doorbell.

What happened to the exceptional customer service that Ring use to have? Now the person I speak with is from a different country and tried to tell me that the blue handled screwdriver comes apart and I should try the other end to get my Ring doorbell removed from the bracket. This obviously is a design flaw that Ring won’t acknowledge and my nice customer service person suggested I hire a handy-man. I installed alarm systems for 10 years. Come on Ring….. you can do so much better with your customer service.
