Ring protect cancellation with no refund

Hello ,I purchased a new ring device instead of my ring doorbell gen1.I cancelled my basic protect program while I was assuming I will get a refund for the remaining time I left to the program.Unfortunatly it turned out I did not get any refund and cannot assign my new device into the current basic protect plan.Any suggestions ?
