Ring Pro difficulty staying connected and cracked button- low durability

I have had my Ring Pro doorbell for ~3 years and at least once a month it drops the wifi connection and forces me to open it up, jiggle the wires, push the side button and restart it again. restarting the router does not work and I must open it up everytime. The doorbell is 20 ft from the router! The rest of my Ring security system has no issues connecting to my wifi. In addition to the dropping wifi, the button has cracked. Do you recommend that I buy a new one? Any thoughts on the warranty?

Hi @user53391. It’s possible the signal may not be stable, causing the Doorbell to occasionally drop off the wifi and be unable to reconnect automatically. You could either try moving your router closer to your Doorbell, or use a wifi extender at a halfway point between the Doorbell and the router.

As for the cracked button, I’d definitely recommend touching base with our support team. They can review the damage and your Doorbell’s warranty to determine the best solution.
