Is there a way to fix a cracked door bell button? our delivery drivers for various packaging companies have strong fingers it seems.

Okay, add me to the list. We bought ours in June 2018, and now we have "the crack" 18 months later. I called Ring and the customer service guy communicated the prepared script which included " I'm very sorry. You're out of warranty. I can offer you a 35% discount. I wish I could do more....". My old doorbell lasted 25 years. My samsung 8 cellphone, which gets 10 hours of daily use, is dropped 3 times a week is on year 4 and every feature still works . My ring doorbell, which I can now see, has been pressed just 47 times in 18 months. ...is broken. Seriously, stand up and do the right thing. Either its obviously a known defect...or planned obsolescence? Which is it? It cant be wear and tear.

I'm so glad to hear that and see another replacement solved. Now to see if it stands the test of time and the elements. I'm sure it will. And if nothing else, it's an inexpensive replacement option. Thanks again and thanks for posting the results!

Look at where this crack comes from! It starts from and goes through the mounting hole. Mine is also exposed to sun on an east facing door. This is my second Pro. Won’t be buying another Ring product ever again. This part costs pennies to make.

I have the same issue with the cracked button on my Pro. I dont think its the sun as mine is under a patio and does not get sun UV light. Has anyone had a luck in getting this replaced by Ring?

I beleive Ring is only offering replacement if you unit is still under warranty. There are people offering low cost 3D Printed replacement buttons.

The most lame company ive seen in a while... sell you a device that last exactly 2 years with a warranty 2 years... then all devices break and there is NO way to fix it or a spare parts. What a lame excuse. Horrible customer service and absolutely hoax doorbells with absolutely low resolution and cracked buttons due to heat sync. You think they dont know it but they do they just dont care they want you to buy new one what a mofos. Goodbye ring you just lost one more client

This seems unacceptable that a replacement button isn't being freely supplied as It is relatively easy to replace the button. I ended up having to source a replacement button from someone on eBay in the UK which was 3D printed. [https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143740912160](https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143740912160) This was not cheap for a little plastic button (£13 with postage) but is a lot better than the original and took around 5 minutes to fit. Photo attached.

Good grief, there are some people making a small fortune on ebay with these. They're so cheap to have printed... market opportunism I suppose! Ridiculous that this secondary market even needs to exist. Ring continue to ignore this issue.

Most of the printed buttons you're seeing on Ebay or Etsy are either my design or probably one other person (more rounded button top). The ebay listings did not have my permission to use my design but it's not worth seeking legal action against them since I don't make any money from them. I was printing them and offering them to those that needed them for a donation to cover my costs, printer time and shipping but now that they seem to have their own secondary market I guess those folks are profiting from them. As long as the community is getting what they need where Ring is falling flat, that's what's important to me. I created the design out of necessity and shared it to help others. So it sounds like it's at least doing that. Best of luck folks, I'll likely be moving to another platform in our new home we're building. Likely it will be the new Wyze line of products, including their doorbell, cameras, intelligent sprinkler controller, thermostat, etc.

Photo attached. yeah I wouldn't promote the sellers on ebay especially in UK as they have all downloaded a file and printed it using PLA plastic - which warps in the sun, and that 3d file was not supposed to be printed and sold for profit, as made by codemonkey. There is a lady on etsy - who is actually UK based, and making brilliant alternate designs to the original, and in very nice colours too. Just search for ring doorbell pro replacement button. That is where I got mine and couldn't be happier.

Installed the Ring Pro around 18months ago and the doorbell button has a crack in the middle. It is under cover and not exposed to direct sunlight. I can’t imagine it has been over used but very disappointed that the button hasn’t lasted.
