We installed the ring pro today. It connected to our existing doorbell, and it does chime when someone rings it, however, instead of the full ding dong chime, it repeats the first 1/2 second of the chime over and over about a dozen times. It’s really annoying. Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks!
Hi there, @LogiBear! The most common reason for a chime kit not to sound right is compatibility. Check out our Chime Compatibility list to ensure the chime kit shows as compatible with your Doorbell Pro.
Depending on the features of your chime kit, some digital chimes have the option of choosing melody, volume, and duration. See if this is possible with yours and try testing different settings to see if one works better.
There is also a place in the Ring app to adjust chime settings. Open the Ring app, visit the Menu, select Devices, select your Doorbell Pro, select Device Settings, and there you should see an option for In Home Chime settings. Adjusting this can help your device work best with a chime kit. I hope this helps!
