My Ring stopped capturing from 09/14 and no notification on why it stopped.
I see it show offline, but wifi works and no changes to wifi.
I tried restarting and recharging, but couldnt get it worked. I tried reset by clicking the orange button on the back of the device.
I didnt see the white spinning, How to fix this issue? Tried to reach phone and chat, no response. Appreciate any inputs on this issue.
This happened to me with my new ring doorbell. I could run setup, and it would say successful wifi setup. Then it would show off line but it still rang. I had accidentally put in two front door doorbells.
I had to go in the app and delete the device. Now it is working great.
Open the app and touch the top left 3 lines and go to devices. Delete the proper device.
If you have to, delete the front door and start over installing the device.
Hi @jgilliam1955, thank you for sharing the troubleshooting steps that worked for you! Your answer may be helpful for other neighbors.
Hi @arul5681. Try completely removing the Ring Doorbell from your Ring app. Then fully charge it using the provided charging cable, which takes about 6-8 hours. Attempt to factory reset the Doorbell by holding down the setup button for at least 20 seconds. Once that’s complete, walk through a new setup in the Ring app using the steps under Set Up a Device.
If your Doorbell is not responding to your reset attempts after fully charging it, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here. If you are outside of the US, please visit here to see how to contact support.
