This happened to me with my new ring doorbell. I could run setup, and it would say successful wifi setup. Then it would show off line but it still rang. I had accidentally put in two front door doorbells.
I had to go in the app and delete the device. Now it is working great.
Open the app and touch the top left 3 lines and go to devices. Delete the proper device.
If you have to, delete the front door and start over installing the device.
Hi @jgilliam1955, thank you for sharing the troubleshooting steps that worked for you! Your answer may be helpful for other neighbors.
Hi @arul5681. Try completely removing the Ring Doorbell from your Ring app. Then fully charge it using the provided charging cable, which takes about 6-8 hours. Attempt to factory reset the Doorbell by holding down the setup button for at least 20 seconds. Once that’s complete, walk through a new setup in the Ring app using the steps under Set Up a Device.
If your Doorbell is not responding to your reset attempts after fully charging it, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here. If you are outside of the US, please visit here to see how to contact support.
