Ring not taking Network password

My ring stopped connecting a couple of days ago. I went to the app and it won’t connect through that either. So I went to add it as a new device and it is saying the “Set up did not complete. Check your wifi password and try again.” The wifi password is correct and verified. Please advise.
I have moved the ring device to right next to the wifi so i know it isn’t an issue. I’ve also reconnected my cell phone to the wifi to confirm that the password is correct and that it is able to link. It is simply the case that the ring doorbell says the password is wrong when it isn’t.
