My ring doorbell has recently stopped charging, even though it was hardwired. After changing, the AC adapter still does not charge all the voltage is correct. After speaking with customer support I was advised that they have disabled the hardwired function on my app as it is a first generation. I was then told I needed to buy a new unit. My current unit works perfectly fine dirty tactics, by Ring
Hi @Philf. I can’t speak to what our support team said, but the Ring Video Doorbell is compatible with the Plug-In Adapter. I’d suggest fully charging your Doorbell with the provided charging cable, then performing a reboot in the Ring app using the reboot option on the Device Health page. Reconnect the Doorbell with the Plug-In Adapter and monitor it from there.
