For some reason my Ring cameras lights start turning on with motion at 6pm. I’m in Texas and it is daylight until almost 9pm. I know the cameras have sensors to determine dawn/dusk. The cameras are not in locations that would have shadows trick the sensors. A couple cameras have the sun shining directly on them.
Hey @Kaufmanrider. Since the Spotlight/Floodlight camera’s light sensors are based off of PIR motion detection, it’s possible that the sun hitting them directly could be setting them off. Could you go into your Ring app > Main Menu > Devices > Spotlight/Floodlight Cam > Device Settings > Light Settings > Motion Zone for Lights, and see if adjusting the sensitivity settings here seem to help? Feel free to let me know what they are at now, and I can give you some recommendations, but you may have to play around with the settings to help ensure the device is not being set off as much!
