my Ring wireless doorbell keeps going offline and will not let me reset it. I have to put in a new charged battery and then it works fine. anyone else having this issue? This just started happening the past 2 weeks. I’ve had this ring for atleast 2 years now and never had the issue till now

Replacing the battery with the fully charged one sounds like it worked. This could mean that the other battery needs charged, or is not working properly. As long as your Video Doorbell remains online this should be resolved. As always, check out your [RSSI in the device health section of the Ring app](https://community.ring.com/t/how-it-works-your-ring-device-rssi-good-vs-poor/229), to ensure for optimal wifi signal.

I understand that replacing with a newly charged battery fixed it for the moment but it keeps happening. Happened again today. Put in new battery because I was at 19%. about 8 hours later my ring said it was offline again. the only way to fix it again was to put in a newly charged battery. This is not acceptable. I shouldn’t have to be switching batteries every day because it keeps going offline. the light isn’t spinning when I go to setup to reconnect it to wifi. this is when I have to keep changing the battery. this needs to be fixed. I am not the only customer having this issue

The battery should not drain that quickly, nor should the device be falling offline often. Try a reset on your Ring device by holding the setup button for 20 seconds. Once the reset is complete, please [reconnect your Ring device](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034825092-How-to-Reconnect-Your-Ring-Device-to-Wifi-or-Change-Your-Wifi-Network). I have had the same problem with my doorbell 3 camera. It worked fine for a year and then suddenly it would go offline twice a week for no reason. I did the battery swap thing for a couple months and then finally broke down and changed the network it was on. It worked without a problem for exactly two months and it fell off the network yesterday. This is supremely frustrating to go through being that these devices are relied on for security
