Ring Indoor Cam making 'clicking' noises?!

Hello Ring Community! I've been a big proponent of Ring products for some time. Have a few hardwired outdoor security cameras and a hardwired Ring doorbell. Awesome products (only wish they had a warm temperature light... that's nitpicking though). Anyway, I decided to start to build up home security measures indoors. Figured I'd start with a few indoor cams. I purchased the standard Indoor Cam that is powered by mini-USB. Set it up in our living room, which gives us a good view of our entire living area. But, for many nights I've noticed this unusual clicking sound coming from the area of our fireplace. For days I've been trying to figure out what it was... maybe a bug in some of the wood stacked there? Last night, like an idiot, I stood by the wood and waited for the clicking sound to happen. It was happening all night, again. My wife and I were starting to think our house was haunted. Every time I walked over to the wood pile, the clicking would stop. As soon as I walked away, it would start back up again. Seemingly random. In complete frustration, I ran over to the wood pile, again. This time I heard the sourse of the 'click'... it was the Ring Indoor cam! I would walk away and it would click more. I would get close the infrared light would go off and make the clicking noise. So I went into the settings and turned the infrared off and on. Each time the light little red light went off or came back on, it would click. Simple solution, right? Just turn off the infrared. Nope. It would continue to make the clicking noise and be in tandem with what was on the television. It was a dark room, after sunset. When the TV screen got bright, it would click. Switch to a darker scene, it would click. Even more frustrating, I had the live feed off and had it set to not record any motion. But the camera was clearly still adjusting to the light in the room. Must be some sort of shutter in the camera making the noise. Needless to say, it's EXTREMELY distracting to be watching TV and hear this camera click repeatedly. I tried one of the other cameras in the same location... and sure enough... same deal. So it's not a problem with this one camera. Must be across the entire line of cameras. Is there any solution to this? I bought three cameras in a bundle on Ebay but the 30 day return window has passed. So it seems I'm stuck with these cameras at this point. I REALLY want to use them as I love the Ring ecosystem and App, but I just can't use them if they're going to be making clicking noises all the time. Especially in our living room where it seemingly happens with some kind of lighting threshold being thrown off by the TV. In regular daytime lighting in the room there is no issue with the clicking noises. Can anyone help? Or am I up the creek here?

I just noticed clicking in my recordings. Sometimes it's a louder double click You actually helped me solve my dilemma. Yes. You guessed right. There is the still shot taking pictures at most, a 3 minute interval. I was trying to find out if it takes them even while recording a motion. You answered it. Must be yes. There is nothing in the vicinity of my camera that could make that noise My camera is remote, inside my garage so the clicking doesn't bother me except when wondering if someone was trying to get in the door.

Mine is setting on an end table looking down the hallway. In the cameras line of site is my 55 inch tv. Instead of relocating the tv or the camera I just rotated the camera clockwise a little until the tv wasn’t in the view of the camera but still looking down the hallway.this stopped the clicking noice. See after pic. IR is on. Click is gone. ![image|231x500](upload://1EB4lb5rfWCUMKQeo7169bBYbLG.jpeg)

I have this problem as well. I recently purchased Ring cameras to replace my Eufy cams. The Ring cameras are going to be returned. My Eufy cameras don’t have any clicking, just the Ring cams. The clicking noise is incredibly annoying while watching tv at night.
