Ring has the worst customer service

Camera stopped working in both locations . The internet bill was due so we paid it and all of the other internet connections started working for laptop, phone etc.

Ring however won’t go live or now do motions sensor . The site says it’s ok and operable but I literally go sit In front of it , don’t the bell and no history or alert.

I use chat and they disconnect dashing call
I call and she barely speaks English , takes my number and has me on hold forever the hangs up .

No return call and now I’m on another super long hold over 15 minutes so far . Just to again try this process

Why isn’t the camera working? Why can’t your reps calls back! What’s the point of taking a number if you hang up

Hi @Unhappy_ringcustomer. If your wifi was down at any point in time, your Camera would have disconnected from the wifi as well. Typically it will automatically reconnect once the wifi is back up, but sometimes you may just need to manually reconnect the Camera to your wifi network in order to get it back up and running. Try resetting your Camera by holding down the setup button for at least 20 seconds. After that’s complete, walk through the steps under Set Up a Device in the Ring App to get it reconnected to your wifi network.

These steps should do the trick for you, but if they don’t, you’ll want to follow up with our support team again so they can take a closer look for you. You can reach them at one of the numbers available here. We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. In addition, the holiday season can cause an increase in the call volume and wait times as well. If you are outside of the US, please read our response to COVID-19 here to see how to contact support
