Ring Floodlight cam cannot hear audio very well


i have just purchased and installed the floodlight cam

it is working fine video wise

the issue i have is that i cannot hear anyone speak when they come to my door

they can hear me clearly but i cannot here them

any help?

I am having the same issue with my floodlight cams, and I’ve seen other posts about it. unfortunately, I don’t think that there is an easy fix. For my floodlight cams, I can barely hear someone speaking to the device, but I can hear the footsteps and traffic noise in the background. That may be a hardware or a firmware issue.

If you can’t hear anything at all, that may be more of a hardware issue. You could try calling ring support, but it’s unlikely that they’ll be able to do anything sbout it. Or while you still can, you may want to return the floodlight cam and try another one. That may be your quickest route. Hopefully you’re doing the installs yourself, so that you don’t have to pay someone to do it…

I still think it caused by the latest firmware update. My floodlight camera capture sounds perfectly before the update. Now the voice in the record can be bearly heard.

I did the install myself as it was very easy
Like yourself I can hear traffic noise and footsteps but when someone speaks I can hardly hear them
I will give support a ring later today
