Ring Doorbell Won’t update

My Ring doorbell connects fine to my wi-fi and then freezes when it tries to auto update the firmware - it does not work - I saw a long thread with many people having this same issue - the thread was closed last month - this is still a major problem with the ring security system that needs to be seriously considered when buying a security system - my 5 other ring devices work fine - I’ve tried resetting everything, etc. It’s not operator error.
