Ring doorbell with Nutone direct wire, need help

Hi, our new house has a Nutone direct wire doorbell, which has an integrated transformer. I believe it’s this one (BKL340LWH **DISCONTINUED** Line Voltage Wired Doorbell w/ LED Lighted White Pushbutton Builder Kit). Looks like the output power is 12VDC, 5mA qhish wouldn’t work with any Ring doorbells.

I’m guessing I need to replace the whole thing with a separate transformer, but wanted to see if I’m missing anything. Any particular transformer recommendations? I don’t care about a wires chime as I already have 2 Ring chimes.

Thank you!

Hi @Jimbo123. Which model of Ring Doorbell do you have? You can find. the model name on the original packaging, on the back of the Doorbell itself, and on the Device Health page in the Ring app. The power requirements can vary between the Doorbell models, so I want to ensure I provide the right information for you.

Hi, thanks for responding. It was the Ring Video Doorbell Wired but I’ve now purchased the battery powered version. I figured it was going to be a lot of work to replace the transformer, remo e old chime, etc. So, I’m all good now.
