Ring Doorbell V1 Ring Light won't turn off

I have Ring Video Doorbell. I set up once but never installed it. Trying to rest to give to a friend and now the Ring Light wilkl not go off. I hold for 20 seconds to reset but it stays the same. I try and add it as a device on the app but the ring light won't flash. It is just a brick until I can figure out how to get it to reset or sync again. Any ideas please.
