Hi @user64571. If you have a Video Doorbell 2, you need to ensure you have purchased [the correct Solar Panel](https://ring.com/products/solar-panel-for-doorbells-2-3-plus-4). If you have a Video Doorbell 2nd Gen, you'll need a [different Solar Panel](https://ring.com/products/solar-panel-video-doorbell-v2). Once you have the correct Solar Panel installed, make sure it is receiving several hours of direct sunlight per day. Indirect sunlight will not be sufficient in order to provide a trickle charge to your Doorbell. If the correct Solar Panel is properly installed and is receiving sufficient direct sunlight, but is still not providing a trickle charge, try a quick reboot using the [reboot option](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/7438395032980-Rebooting-your-Video-Doorbell-or-Security-Camera) on the Device Health page. This reboot should take a few moments.
