Ring doorbell rang by itself at 1:23AM inside locked gated area

I’m using Video Doorbell(1st gen) and for the first time, it rang by itself. This battery operated doorbell is on locked down area where no one can come in unless they have a ladder. I checked and no one is in the small area and the video shows no one as well. Seems like the doorbell is acting up. Batter level is showing in yellow but still, it shouldn’t ring the video doorbell automatically. Please let me know what is going on with the doorbell? Is this a known/reported issue nowadays? Ring doorbell going off randomly?

Hey @ginr. Do you have this connected to an internal chime kit? If so, what is this chime kit’s make and model?

Hi.

No, we don’t have an internal chime kit.

Mine did this at 4.58 this morning. Checking on my phone it seems this co-incided with the last device health check. Could this be the cause and can I stop it happening again?

Hey @RonRichards. Thanks for reporting that you’re having this concern as well! Since this happened and you do not have an internal chime kit, do you mind reaching out to our support team so they can take a look into this? Please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here. We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19. This has resulted in longer than normal wait times. If you are outside of the US, please read our response to COVID-19 here to see how to contact support.

Just to clarify, I do have an internal chime.

Hey @RonRichards. My apologises, I thought the message above your first message was also from you, since you both have the same icon. Did you by any chance also reach out to support on this concern first? I recommend going to them first, and let me know how this works!
