Ring Video Doorbell
Ring Doorbell Pro setup light doesn’t spin
Ring Doorbell Pro will not go into setup mode. New installation, followed all of the directions, got to the point where it asks if the light ring is spinning, but it doesn’t happen. In fact, the ring is half lit, and then the final 3/4 of the ring just feebly blinks on and off. Tried uninstalling everything, reinstalling it again, same results. It’s connected to an existing mechanical doorbell, which functions fine. But connecting to the network ain’t happening. Run out of ideas. I tried uploading a short video to show what it’s doing, but Ring won’t let me upload a .mov file. So look at the two still photos and just click back and forth between them and you’ll get the gist of it.

Hi neighbors. If your Video Doorbell Pro is not lighting up or not going into set up mode, please try the following troubleshooting steps: - Review our Hardwiring Checklist for the Video Doorbell Pro to ensure the wiring looks good. If you're not comfortable handling the wiring, please consult a qualified electrician. - Ensure your transformer is rated a minimum of 16 VAC 30 VA, and check to make sure the [chime kit](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/209028546-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Pro-Chime-Kit-Compatibility-List) you have is compatible with the Doorbell Pro. - If the wiring looks good and the transformer and chime are compatible, try power cycling the Doorbell Pro by disconnecting it from power for at least 1 minute. Then reconnect the Doorbell to power and attempt the setup process. - If a power cycle doesn't do the trick, you can fully reset your Doorbell Pro by holding down the setup button for at least 20 seconds. After the reset is complete, attempt the setup process. I hope these troubleshooting tips and tricks help. If this concern persists and you are unable to get your Doorbell Pro up and running, please follow up with our support team at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). I am having the same problem. My Ring Doorbell Pro worked fine for many months. It spontaneously disconnected from my wifi one day. I am unable to get it back into setup mode (spinning white ring light) to get it back online. I have disconnected it from the power, held down the reset button too many times to count, deleted and reinstalled the app, restarted my home wifi, tried setup without bluetooth on my phone, etc. Nothing works to get that white light to spin. It will pulse white, but no spin. Has anyone figured out a solution?
