RIng doorbell pro night vision poor quality

I recently swing over from a nest hello to the ring doorbell pro. I am very happy with the quality of the day time video. however, once nigh fall and night vision kicks in, the quality drastically degrades. My wire connection is strong and it is hardwire powered directly via the plug-in a power adapter sold by ring (the first gen).

What can I do to fix this? Or do you think I have a defective unit?

I don’t have the doorbell but the spotlight camera. Your image looks typical and reasonable. Night vision will never have the same resolution as daytime when you have natural daylighting. If you have an area you want to capture at night, exterior lighting will turn off night vision and you will have dramatically improved resolution.
