Ring doorbell generation 2

troubleshooting
So I’ve owned this door bell since aug 2020 I’ve had no problems with it what do ever until recently when it kept disconnecting from the wifi.I thought it was flat so put it on charge did reset which seemed to work put it back outside but after few hrs went off line again and stopped working.again did hard reset battery was fully charged but still nothing. It only seems to work if connected to power/charger as soon as it’s taken off to be used as battery supply it stops working. We don’t have means to hardwire it in this is why I bought the battery one.

Hi @Jansbuns19. Have you checked the RSSI on your Doorbell yet? The RSSI is a measure of your Ring Doorbell's wifi connection, as frequent disconnects can indicate that the wifi signal needs to be improved. You can find more information on RSSI in our Community Post [here](https://community.ring.com/t/how-it-works-your-ring-device-rssi-good-vs-poor/229#M4), and some additional information about wifi in our Help Center Article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020044511-How-to-Make-Wifi-Work-For-You). I hope this information is helpful! :)

Yes I have checked the rssi and that’s fine it is not that. The door bell works absolutely fine when removed from outside and put on charge inside but as soon as we take it off charge it stops working and goes dead.so it must be the battery we have only had it 18 months so would think the battery would last longer then this very disappointed as these door bells aren’t cheap.
