Ring doorbell doesn't recognize fresh battery

My Ring Doorbell (Gen 1) is battery powered, and when I insert a fully charged battery, it never recognizes that the battery has been replaced. The blue light never comes on, but the same battery in a stick-up camera works just fine.

Any ideas?

Hi @user23344. You can try a factory reset of your Doorbell by pressing and holding the setup button for 20–25 seconds. You will have to do a re-connection of your Doorbell since it will fall offline because of the factory reset.
