Ring Doorbell can't find any networks during setup

I just bought a Ring Video Doorbell and can’t get it setup. I’m able to connect to the ad hoc network the doorbell creates during initial setup (SSID=Ring80), however it keeps saying “Looking for available wifi networks” for a minute or two, then I get an error screen that says:

We couldn’t connect to your Ring Doorbell.
Not to worry. It may just need to be reset.
To do this, hold down the button on the rear for 20 seconds, then release it.
Give it a minute or so, then try again.

I have reset it multiple times and it keeps happening.

How do I get this to work? I’m using an iPhone with iOS 16.1, and same thing is happening if we use my wife’s iPhone. It’s not showing ANY networks, so I am sure it’s not a problem with my router settings. Also, I’m trying to set it up right next to the router so distance isn’t an issue.

Please help.
