I’m looking for an answer to this question. I cancelled my internet service months ago but all the functionality of my ring doorbell camera and chime pro work. Online it said you needed an internet connection to use a ring camera but mine works just like it did before cancelling internet. I do still have my modem and router hooked up and therefore a Wi-Fi network can be found but that network is not connected to the internet. Looking at the settings for my devices, the ring doorbell camera is connected to the chime pro network, while the chime pro is connected to my internet-less Wi-Fi network. How is it I can still access all of the features on the app whether home or remote when I don’t have internet connection at my home? Also, yes I have tried to use the internet thinking maybe the ISP did not in fact remove my internet but it does not work. My phone and computer both say the Wi-Fi network has no internet connection so I know it has indeed been deactivated. Tried to find answers to this question online but had no luck. Thanks
Hi @Punkdude3456. Ring devices require internet service to function. I would recommend reaching out to our support team to investigate how your Doorbell is working when your internet service is no longer available.
