Ring doorbell alerting me when I walk out the door

I just recently got a ring doorbell after years of deciding should I get one or not. What I find annoying about it is everytime I walk out the door I’m being alerted someone’s at the door. How do I fix it in the settings to not alert me about myself leaving out the door?

Hi @Blkn2toocute. Your Doorbell is going to alert you to motion detected within the Motion Zones you have set when motion detection is enabled. There is no option to disable motion detection only for when you leave the home. I searched our Feature Request board and found [this request](https://community.ring.com/t/disable-motion-detection-and-alerts-for-owner/210424), which you're welcome to add your vote and feedback to.
