Ring doorbell 3 battery drains every three days and plugged in

Grace and Peace, we are long time Ring users before Amazon acquisition, and we recommend products. We had an original ring doorbell, ring 2, traded in for Ring 3 and Ring 4 for we have two front doors on our townhouse a bottom and parlor floor. The Rings, 1, 2, 4 work fine. The Ring 3 plus stinks. Every 2-3 days we have to change the battery. We had a 3rd party plug (we use the same plugs for our 4 spot cams as well that see lots of activity no problems) so we bought a RING PLUG recently. because we thought maybe needed your plug? Moreover, we wanted to isolate the problem. We are medium techies. Nope, Same problem. We went to support. Oh, your settings are too high. We changed the settings. Same problem. No, it is not too cold. We have Wi-Fi 6 and signal booster with RING Alarm. This has been going on for close to a year now. We are tired of changing batteries. How are you going to fix this because so many folks are complaining; thus, it is on your side. Is it a bug or a feature? Thank you in advance for the correct answer and resolution of the problem.

Hi @MCJC2022. Good call on trying the Ring Plug-In Adapter and adjusting the settings to try and narrow down what the cause of the problem is. I’d also recommend checking the RSSI for the Doorbell 3 as an unstable connection could impact the battery life. If you have multiple batteries, try using a different battery in the Doorbell 3. For example, you could take a fully charged battery that you use in the Doorbell 4 and test it with the Doorbell 3 to see if you experience the same level of battery drain.
