Hi
I have a ring doorbell 2nd generation but it wont work. It always failed with „setup did not complete check your internet connection“. I already got a second device but the failure is always the same. I also checked different setups like:
-) Different Passworts and channels on the LTE Router (TPLINK)
-) Different Smartphones for the configuration (Huawei and Samsung)
-) Multiple factory resets
-) Connection via a TP Link WLAN Extender
But nothing helps and I don’t understand that because all other devices have no Problem with the internet and Wlan. So is there any special hack that I can do or is the ring doorbell an unusable product.

Hi @Harald85. Is your wifi network dual-band? If so, try creating a guest network utilizing only the 2.4GHz network and attempt to connect the Doorbell to this guest network. Additionally, ensure the ports and protocols used by Ring devices are open on your router. If these issues persist, please follow up with our support team at one of the numbers available here. Nope. Nothing you can do. The first time I called, Ring sent me a Chime (Wi-Fi extender) because they said my router was too far. When I got the Chime, it still didn’t work. Second time I called, they told me the doorbell no longer holds the power needed to work and I would need to buy a new Ring doorbell!!! Beyond frustrated!
