Ring doorbell 2nd gen will not charge

Ring doorbell will not charge. I have tried different USB cables so i know its not the cables fault, and different plugs, sometimes if I jiggle the ring charging port and the cable its starts to charge but only for 10 seconds ish then it stops charging the the blue light goes out
I have tried resetting the doorbell by pressing the re set button for 20 secs but this has not fixed the issue.
Its like the ring charging port is not working properly
Anyone had this issue? The device is only about 1 year old.
Its a battery powered doorbell and is not hard wired.
