About 3 weeks ago, something very odd started happening. Every time someone rings the doorbell on my Ring Video Doorbell 2, it turns on my TV (Amazon Fire TV).
I have never integrated my Ring with my TV or Alexa (I don’t use Alexa); I don’t even know if that’s possible.
Any ideas on how to make it stop? I can’t find much in the settings of the Ring app - but who knows, I could easily be missing it!
Thank you! Ring Doorbell 2 turns on my TV?!
I have the same problem. How do I stop my Ring doorbell from starting my TV
Hi neighbors. I would first check and make sure that your Ring devices have not been linked to your Amazon Alexa account. If the Ring Skill is enabled, this could be why this is happening. If that’s not the case, I would follow up with our support team to investigate this. Please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here. I have the same issue with the fire cube on my tv, but I also have an Echo Show 8 and is ok for me to see on my echo show when someone rings the doorbell but I dont want my TV to turn on, if I disable the skill then I will not see the in my echo show my ring doorbell camera
Same issue here. Whenever someone presses the Ring doorbell, my FireTV stick is immediately turned on and my TV switches from cable to the Fire Tv input.
How do i fix this?! It. Keeps turning in the tv. Im trying to save the life of your tv. It stays on for days if no one is home for checking.
