My Ring Doorbell 2 is hardwired. I noticed yesterday that it had switched to battery when I looked at Device Health. Now it doesn’t ring at all. I tried to do a hard reset like the book instructed me to do. It worked for one day only. Today I’m back to battery only and the doorbell isn’t working at all. Is there something else I should try?
Hey @Cooperm55. I recommend removing the Doorbell from the wiring as you have had it, checking the wires to ensure there is no damage, and then setting up the wiring again as it should be. From there, check to see if it’s still hardwired and shows as hardwired in the app, and ensure it stays this way over the following days. In the event it still does not show hardwired, please delete the Doorbell from your app, reset it by pressing and holding the setup button for 20 seconds, and then set up the device again in the app. Let me know how this goes!
