Ring Doorbell 2 - over night fault
battery-video-doorbell
Daytime colour video is fine. When it goes into infra-red at night, the video is erratic and mostly appears with white lines of varying density - if you are old enough, it is how the old cathode ray tube CRT - used to go when one of the valves was on its way out. Here is a an iCloud link of a screen recording of a time lapse of the door bell video. The problem occurs every night - https://share.icloud.com/photos/066S91dLJwfcbn7960wZPy2UQ

Hi @Sandj. If you're seeing varying white lines across the video at night, I would recommend performing a reset and a fresh setup of the Doorbell. You can reset it by holding down the setup button for at least 20 seconds. After the reset is done, walk through a new setup in the Ring App with the steps under Set Up a Device. Monitor the Doorbell and see if the varying white lines are now gone.If this concern does persist after trying these troubleshooting steps, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). They can look into this further with you. We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. If you are outside of the US, please read our response to COVID-19 [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360041597471) to see how to contact support. :)
