Just hardwired my doorbell with diode as instructed because I have a digital bell. The doorbell worked as it should for the first 5 min. It motion detected, recorded and rang when pushed the button. Now it does not motion detect at all. For the past year I only had it running off the battery. It worked just fine on battery alone. Any tips please to fixing this? I reset with battery, I checked wiring and checked the setting for motion detecting
Hi there, @Drupp! The addition of a diode should not have impacted your Video Doorbell 2 performance, as this model Doorbell operates primarily off of battery power. Power cycling was a great step to take. Next, let’s try a reset by holding the Video Doorbell setup button for 20 seconds. Once the reset is complete, please reconnect your Video Doorbell, check the motion settings, and test a few events. Feel free to let us know how this goes!
