Ring doorbell 2 chime

Can anyone help please? The chime keeps saying it cannot connect to network, I have followed all troubleshooting guidance, and no joy.

Hi @user11626. Are you referring to a Ring Chime or Ring Chime Pro? If you’re having trouble getting a Chime or Chime Pro set up in the Ring app, try some of the troubleshooting steps below:

  • Plug the Chime into a different outlet closer to your wifi router if possible.
  • Attempt the setup process on a different smartphone or tablet if you have one available.
  • If your wifi password has any special characters in it, try changing it to include only alphanumeric characters to see if it is able to connect then.
  • Reset the Chime by holding down the reset button on the side for at least 15 seconds, then attempt the setup process again.
