Ring does not record after midnight
Hi I just set up my ring security camera last night. This morning I noticed nothing recorded after midnight. What is going on? I have the protection plan trial.

Was this part of the fine print when we bought our systems because I don’t recall anything about that? This is ridiculous though most people get robbed between the hours of midnight and five so why in the hell would you do that??? People don’t have time to play these kind of games with their systems we have work to do and here I thought it was better than the trashy blink shit I bought. I’ve had mine for well over a year I never had any problem with it until maybe a month ago?????

Did anyone find an answer to this problem? My ring cameras have never captured anything after midnight and I get activity during the night. Someone’s car was stolen two doors down and the people that stole it rolled up in my driveway and tossed some items in my garbage cans. The only reason I know this is because I installed 8k night vision hk cameras around my house on a separate hard drive system because my 3 ring cameras never capture anything at night. It’s so frustrating. I’ve played with the settings to no avail. Any solutions found yet?

Hi neighbors! If your Ring Doorbell or Camera is missing motion events or not recording them, please try the following troubleshooting steps: - Check that you have an active [Ring Protect plan](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001671383-General-Information-on-Ring-Protect-Subscription-Plans) or trial, as this is required to be able to view recordings of motion events. The plan must have been active at the time the event occurred as well. - Adjust any [Motion Schedules](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/218380863-Scheduling-Times-When-You-Don-t-Want-to-Receive-Motion-Alerts-) or [Mode](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036107792-Control-All-your-Ring-Devices-with-Modes) settings that may be interfering with motion detection and recording. - Review your Ring device's [RSSI](https://community.ring.com/t/how-it-works-your-ring-device-rssi-good-vs-poor/229#M4) and make sure it has a stable wifi connection, otherwise it may not be able to capture and record motion events properly. - Test the motion detection during a specified time frame by moving in front of the Camera's view to see if it triggers and records a motion event. If it doesn't pick this up, you might want to adjust your [Motion Zones](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042728431-Advanced-Motion-Detection-in-Ring-Devices). If this concern continues to persist after trying all of these steps, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). They can review your account and your Ring device and troubleshoot more in-depth. If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.
