Ring Chime keeps ringing when I talk thru my doorbell

I have the Nicor PRCP2 that is compatible with the Ring Doorbell 2 and every time I talk/speak through my ring doorbell, the chime goes off. I’ve tried changing the settings thru the app by switching the chime to digital, mechanical, and none, and it still goes off under the same circumstances. I’ve even disabled from the app to Ring my Indoor Doorbell. It still goes off.

The doorbell chime is very broken. It often repeats itself without stopping, and it resets the chime whilst in the middle of a chime. I’ve talked to level 1 customer support from Ring.com and they couldn’t provided assistance - they suggested I reboot and reactive the device but it did not fix the problem.

Is anybody else having a similar issue?

Thank you for listing out what steps you’ve tried, such as the reboot and new setup in the Ring App. The Ring Chime shouldn’t be going off like this whenever you talk through the Doorbell, as it should only go off for motion or dings based on your settings. When you rebooted the Chime, did you reset it by holding down the reset button on the side for at least 20 seconds?
