Ever since installing my Car Cam my car’s auto-high beams don’t work. The sensor is up behind the rear view mirror. I suspect, with its wide field of view and infrared lights, my car’s sensor is detecting this light and not turning on the high beams. I tried unplugging the cam and the auto high beams came back.
Any way to fix this (maybe turn off interior infrared?) Other than returning the cam?
Hi @madmanmat. You are not able to disable the infrared on the interior Camera. As we value our neighbors’ feedback, we’ve created a Feature Request board. Feel free to add this and any future feature requests there. This will help us organize and share your requests with our teams here, as well as allow other neighbors to comment and add interest, all in one place. Feel free to link that post you made in the Feature Request board here so other neighbors who come to this thread can easily find your feature!
I am having the issue of the infrared disabling my vehicles automatic headlights at night, and causing all displays to revert to daytime brightness.
Problem is alleviated by closing the interior camera shutter, but that defeats the purpose of the interior camera. For the $200+ spent on this camera, that is definitely a major flaw/safety issue.
Exactly! I’m debating tinkering with adding some sort of “awning” over the top to prevent the infrared light from hitting the sensor. Either way, shouldn’t be having this issue with a $200+ dashcam.
