Ring Battery Video Doorbell Plus

Night vision flickering is this a settings issue or is the doorbell defective

Hi @Gizmo11. The night vision shouldn’t be flickering frequently unless there are sources of light near the Doorbell that might be impacting the night vision. The street lights across the street are bright, but they shouldn’t be causing this either.

I’d suggest performing a quick reboot using the reboot option under the Device Health screen. This should take only a few minutes, and can help correct issues. If that doesn’t do the trick, you can completely reset your Doorbell by holding down the setup button for 20 seconds. Once the reset is complete, walk your Doorbell through a new setup in the Ring app using the steps under Set Up a Device.

Hi ive got this doorbell and want to know if I wire it can I use the plug-in adaptor from ring (which is 24v DC) or do I have to use a 24v AC adaptor?
Can you input DC into it?

Hi @mackat. The Ring Battery Doorbell Plus can be hardwired to an existing doorbell system or transformer for trickle charging (8-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz), or can be connected to a Ring Plug-In Adapter. There is also a Solar Charger for Battery Doorbells (2nd Generation) and a Solar Panel for Doorbells available to use. You cannot use halogen or garden-lighting transformers. Also, you cannot use a third-party DC transformer or power supply.
