Hi ive got this doorbell and want to know if I wire it can I use the plug-in adaptor from ring (which is 24v DC) or do I have to use a 24v AC adaptor?
Can you input DC into it?

Hi @mackat. The Ring Battery Doorbell Plus can be hardwired to an existing doorbell system or transformer for trickle charging (8-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz), or can be connected to a [Ring Plug-In Adapter](https://ring.com/products/video-doorbell-plugin-adapter-gen-2). There is also a [Solar Charger for Battery Doorbells (2nd Generation)](https://ring.com/products/solar-charger-for-video-doorbell-3) and a [Solar Panel for Doorbells](https://ring.com/products/solar-panel-for-doorbells-2-3-plus-4) available to use. You cannot use halogen or garden-lighting transformers. Also, you cannot use a third-party DC transformer or power supply.
