Ring Base Station 3G backup doesn't work when wired in

Hi everyone,I recently wired my Ring Alarm base station into my router (rather than using wifi) and I've noticed that if the wired connection goes down the 3G backup does not kick in.I tested this functionality with the Base station connected to the wifi and it switched to 3G no problem.Has anyone else experienced this??
