I’ve installed a ring 3 with a new Byron 776. The ring shows hardwired but doesn’t seem to be charging and doesn’t activate the chime when pressed. I’ve shorted the chime to make sure it works. Any ideas?
Hi there, @Chock! Based on our Chime Compatibility list for your Doorbell model, the Byron 776 should certainly work. As your Ring app is reflecting a successful hardwired connection, this is a great sign that power is sufficient. In addition to the information there, please also check your Ring device settings in the Ring app to ensure you in-home chime type is selected as mechanical. I hope this helps!
