Ring 2nd Generation doorbell not detecting movement or people

I just bought a second generation. All set it to Wi-Fi, it is currently sitting inside window using as a security camera. Have had several packages delivered and not being alerted at all despite having notifications set up. Is it because it is inside the glass? We have had deer close to the front door as well and no recordings or alerts. What’s wrong??

Hi @PANDAinCo. The Video Doorbell is not designed to be directly facing a window, the glass will impact the Doorbell’s ability to detect motion. To allow your Doorbell to properly detect motion, you’ll need to adjust the installation so that it is not directly facing a window.
