Ring (2nd Gen) Chimes But Doesn’t Trickle Charge

My Ring is hardwired and chimes my old doorbell chime but does not trickle charge. What is the issue here?

Hi @user75807. Trickle charging will be slower than when you manually charge the battery, and there are different factors that can affect how quickly a battery drains. The main factors are the number of events being recorded, and the weather. If your Ring Doorbell is recording a large number of events, the battery may drain more quickly than it can be charged via the hardwiring. Additionally, extremely cold weather can affect the performance of lithium-ion batteries.
