I connected the device using a wire and now its asking recharge the battery.

Hey @Serri! The Video Doorbell 2 comes with a rechargeable battery pack which is also required to power and operate the device. Connecting the existing wires to the Video Doorbell 2 will result in chime kit functionality if compatible, and even a charge, depending on wiring and transformer rating.
I recommend charging the battery to 100% for an optimal experience.

Issue keeps happening, i think i might have gotten a detective one.
