Retrofit Kit Showing Empty Zone as Open / Ready to Test

I’m having same exact issue as several others reported here but there was no resolution and the thread was closed

I have 6 zones only and it’s been like that for years.
Now Zone 7 says it’s Open and ready to test. There is nothing connected to it and never was. There’s no way to disable it in settings.

Is this a firmware or hardware issue?
My family members also have retrofit kit at their house so I checked theirs and same issue! They have 5 zones connected and Zone 6 says it’s Open and ready to test
