Retrofit Kit detects doors as open when closed and vice versa

I installed the Ring retrofit kit to my wired alarm system and see the following 2 issues:

  1. When door is open the ring app says its open and vice versa (it does work, but the logic is reverse)
  2. when i connect the “C” common wire, it doesn’t work (but works by connecting the zone wire to the terminal only without the C)
