Hello @Ryancan ,

Ugh, the sun really did a job on your Doorbell. As far as I can tell, there is not a replacement cover for that portion of your Doorbell, but it wouldn’t hurt to ask Ring Support.

But I’m guessing the only solution will be replacing the entire doorbell.

You may be covered for a replacement under the Standard one-year Warranty:

If you’ve owned it for more than a year, another thing to consider is which Ring Protection Plan subscription do you have? Do you happen to have a Ring Protect Plus Plan subscription, because that would extend your warranty?

Device Warranty

  • Protect Plus Plan - includes an extended warranty which will extend your device’s original warranty. Once the original warranty expires, the device will be covered under Ring Protect Plus until you discontinue your subscription.
  • Protect Basic Plan - includes one year manufacturer’s warranty from the purchase date of the device. The standard warranty does not require a Ring Protect Plan subscription.

For Warranty information for possible replacement, you’ll need to telephone Ring Support:

Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19, their available hours have been changed also:

If you were planning on upgrading to a newer Video Doorbell, or decide to replace your “Sun-burned” doorbell, there are several potential other options to save you some money (if your doorbell is not covered by warranty for your issue):

  • There currently is a Labor-Day 2020 Sale online at Ring.com right now , but you would have to purchase quickly, or wait until the next Sale event.

  • If you have the Protect Plan Plus, remember you can get a 10% discount.

  • You might be able to get ‘trade-in’ credit towards a new Doorbell, turning in your old Video Doorbell 2: https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=19880845011

  • And you may be eligible for additional Discounts if you fall into one of these groups. If you qualify, you can take advantage of additional discounts that Ring accepts, of up to 20% off! Through VerifyPass:

                             - Military: Includes Active Duty, Veterans & Dependents.

                             - Responder: Includes Police, Fire and EMT.

                             - Medical: Includes Doctors, Nurses & medical staff.

                             - Teacher: Includes Pre-K, K-12 and Professors.

                             - Student: Includes Students with an eligible e-mail.

                             - Senior: Includes Senior citizens (55+).

Here is the link to get you started, if you are in one of these groups:

I know you were seeking to just get a new replacement part. But, if you decide on getting an entire new Video Doorbell, I hope one of these options possibly saves you money.
