Does Ring keep more recordings than available in the app? I see only 22 sec on solar-powered unit and one of them was cut short.


Hey @marnow76. The recording that you have available is the full recording that was captured by your camera. It sounds like you may be running into a feature we have known as Motion Stop, which you can learn more about here. If you’re having any concerns with your camera not capturing motion or recordings being much shorter than 20 second, feel free to follow up with our support team at any time on this!

So based on your answer and the support article the feature cannot be disabled, correct?

@marnow76 Not at this time, but we are hoping to bring to our neighbors more flexible video recording lengths in the future, so please keep your eye out for this! If you continue to have shorter than 20 second recordings with Motion Verification off (if you have this feature to turn on/off), then please follow up with our support team to look more into this!
