Recent Activity Not Updating

Had my car rifled through last night May 28th, checked Ring and the last activity was May 22nd, with motion constantly. Checked device health...all good. Live view showed just a black screen, even a ring didn't register. Reset doorbell, now all seems normal. This is the second time this has happened. Ring seems to catch every car driving by, animals on the lawn...but miraculously detects no motion on the last 2 times our car's were broken into. Any explanation to a drop-off in activity?
